Note from Trace:
I say in this video that I have spent no money on learning social media, only a great deal of time. While this is true, I am not advising anyone not to buy programs or pay to attend seminars on Social Media. There are many fine programs out there with good information, I am sure a good value for many. Obviously there are some that are rip-offs as well so BE CAREFUL. My point in the video is that there is also plenty of information out there for free, if you choose to spend the time to ferret it out for yourself as I have. And I may pay for some information from others in the future, but as of this date, I have not.
This video is a follow up to an article I wrote at the end of 2008, and you can view it here:
Social Networking the New Year, and Why Not?

Trace, just saw your video and wanted to share a recent experience I had that has opened my eyes and backs up what you saying.. Was the past couple of weeks on what is probably the biggest shoot/production I have ever been on. I’d like to share it with you but for contractual issues and until it’s out later this year I can’t. Besides making some money on this production, what we all got AFTER the long days was more valuable than any day rate I have ever seen.. After daillies we all sat around, had a few beers, and talked about what we were all up to, how we were doing in business and personal lives, what was working, not working, and so on.. It was very interesting to see how similar our stories were and how some of the mistakes others had made and learned from, some of the rest of us were still doing! I had to admit I had gotten into some political debates that went no where positive and light bulbs were popping off in everyone’s head almost every meeting.. Simply talking about my still photography got me an immediate job shooting some behind the scenes stuff the film maker needed among other things.. Just wanted to relate to what you were saying about only spending your time capital on the things that further your success and direction, and dropping the things that clutter it up.. I learned so many things in the last two weeks that will help me and I thought you might find that interesting.. If you need another hand furthering the cause let me know I’d like to participate.
Thanks Mike, I appreciate your comment, seems like we’ve had many similar experiences. We’ve got more videos shot, now starting edits, plan to post one every week or so for the next couple of months… will let you know when we will shoot again, thanks for the kind offer to help. -T
Hey Bro,
Nice work. And thanks for makin’ it simple. I look forward to more of these. I’ve got a small glitch when i am watching the video as it frequently pauses with the cursor circling and apparently loading the video, and then it resumes. Do i need a new video program? an updating of Quick Time Player 10.0? i am on a Mac with Snow Leopard OS.
Thanks and congratulations. Great service you are creating to us folk not so knowing about social networks.
I hope all is well with you and Lauren and Olivia (and Chris and Caitlyn).

Sorry you had trouble viewing – it should appear fine on both Internet Explorer and Firefox, we check it regularly before new posts, so I am pretty sure the issue is with your monitor settings, but you might check with a computer expert, which I am definitely not! Thanks for checking it out, hope you’ll come back soon. TR
Thank YOU Larry – There are several new posts and videos http://tracetv.tv – man I can’t believe it – I thought I had sent you a reply to this previously but it looks like I only “thought” good grief! Hope you and Myron are well – Thanks for watching the video and commenting – it means a great deal to me. In regards to the Mac / video question, YES make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime installed and that your computer is set to get automatic updates.
Thanks again, love ya, T
